  • The Maze and the Flame

    The Maze and the Flame

To dabble in the unknown—this is our oldest hunger. To poke the sleeping beast with a stick. To skip stones into the abyss and pretend we aren’t waiting for an echo. Why? Because the alternative is to sit still, to accept the script handed to us at birth: Wake. Work. Sleep. Repeat. But humans are terrible actors. We ad-lib. We burn the script.

We invented reversible time because we are children who cannot bear to let go of broken toys. What if we could glue the vase back before it shattered? Erase the wound before the knife fell? But the past is a fossil—touch it, and it crumbles. Our longing isn’t for correction. It’s for dominion. To be authors, not scribbles.

What if the stars wrote our story first? If every breath is pre-choreographed, why do we still choke on guilt? Why claw at the walls of a maze whose center we’ll never reach? Is the maze itself the answer? The act of wandering? Or is the question just another turn in the path?

We build civilizations like sandcastles—grand, temporary, doomed to be washed smooth. Globalization is a funhouse mirror: the “monkeys” see their reflection stretched into grotesque parodies of “civilized” selves. Climb the ladder? What ladder? The rungs dissolve as we grasp them.

Do we matter? Ask Sisyphus. Ask the ant carrying a crumb in a hurricane. The cosmos doesn’t care. It hums its old song, indifferent to our choirs and screams. But here’s the joke: we’re the ones who invented “mattering.” We conjured justice from the void, then wept when the void didn’t applaud.

The strong eat the weak. Yes. And termites eat empires. And stars eat themselves. What’s “fair” in an ecosystem built on digestion? Yet we keep planting gardens in the warzone. Why? Because the alternative is to lie down in the dirt and call it a bed.

Maybe questions are our only compass. No—flares shot into the dark. They don’t light the way; they prove we still want to see. Even if the answer is a shadow. Even if the shadow laughs.

  • The Best of Curses: The Pain of Glimpses into Heaven and the Torment of Hell

The Best of Curses: The Pain of Glimpses into Heaven and the Torment of Hell

There are moments in life that cling to us, moments so visceral and raw that they carve themselves into the deepest recesses of our memory.

They are not always moments of joy—sometimes they are moments of profound pain, of longing, of a glimpse into something beautiful that we know we can never hold onto.

Ekko, from Arcane, knows this pain. His eyes, heavy with sadness, reflect a man who had heaven in his hands and chose to let it slip away. Powder, too, caught a fleeting glimpse of something pure, something whole, only to watch it dissolve into the chaos of their fractured world.

This is the story of those glimpses—the brief, blinding flashes of heaven that leave us forever changed, forever yearning. And it begs the question: what happens to those who never get that glimpse? Those who sit in the quiet corners of existence, aching for something they cannot name, some rewriting their stories, others ending them before they’ve truly begun.

    The Luxury of Loss

There is a strange luxury in loss, in knowing that you’ve tasted something divine, even if it was fleeting. To preserve every detail of that moment in your memory, to etch it so deeply that it becomes a part of you, is both a blessing and a curse. It’s the best of curses, really—to know that you’ll never get it back, to carry the weight of that absence like a badge of honor.

But isn’t it also a blessing for things to never happen at all? For the moments that were never meant to be, that never had the chance to wound us so deeply? Perhaps. Yet, the human heart is a stubborn thing. It yearns, it aches, it fantasizes about what could have been. And in that yearning, we find both our destruction and our creation.

Love, Hate, and the Spaces Between

What is hatred, then? Pure hatred? Is it like ice and fire, locked in an eternal dance where love and hate destroy each other, leaving no victor? Or is it something more insidious, a shadow that grows in the spaces where love once stood?

Human misunderstanding runs so deep, so confusing, that we impose our desires, our fears, our pain onto others, searching for meaning in the chaos.

What is the common ground between friend and enemy? Is it the shared pain, the shared longing, the shared glimpses into something greater than ourselves?

And what is the best and the worst of it all? The curse we bear is not just the pain itself, but the addiction to it—the way our minds wander, replaying what could have been, killing us in every moment.

    The Secret to Greatness—or Madness?

Is this pain the secret to greatness? Does it demand the sacrifice of sanity, of everything human, in exchange for something transcendent? Or is it just another human fantasy, our desire to possess, to claim victories, to make sense of the senseless? Perhaps it’s both. Perhaps it’s neither.

This pain, this torment, is it love or war? Is it a fundamental question that drives us mad, that makes us do all sorts of crazy things? It impacts us, whether we admit it or not. It pushes us to the edge, forcing us to confront the parts of ourselves we’d rather ignore. And yet, there’s a strange comfort in it, isn’t there? A joy in self-torture, in admitting that we like things this way, that we revel in the chaos because it makes us feel alive.

    What Comes of Pain?

So, what comes out of such deep pain? Does it build something beautiful, something lasting? Or does it simply destroy, leaving us hollow and aching? For some, it’s the spark that ignites greatness—a willingness to sacrifice everything for a moment of transcendence. For others, it’s a slow unraveling, a descent into madness.

And yet, there’s something undeniably human about it. We are creatures of contradiction, of love and hate, of creation and destruction. We lose our minds in the pursuit of meaning, but perhaps that’s the point. Perhaps the way out is not to escape the pain, but to embrace it, to let it shape us, to let it remind us that we are alive.

    Tormented Joy

Ekko and Powder’s story is not just theirs—it’s ours. It’s the story of every person who has ever caught a glimpse of heaven and chosen to return to hell. It’s the story of those who have never seen the light, but feel its absence all the same. It’s the story of pain, of memory, of the best of curses.

So, let us sit with it. Let us feel the weight of it. Let us ask ourselves: Are we losing our minds here? Is there a way out? Or do we, deep down, prefer it this way—the joy of self-torture, the torment of being human?

Perhaps the answer lies not in escaping the pain, but in learning to live with it, to let it remind us of the richness of our existence. After all, to have felt deeply, to have loved and hated and yearned and lost, is to have lived. And isn’t that, in the end, the most beautiful curse of all?

Here’s the link to the song. And check out our exquisite collection here. We’ve tried to make it out of chaos, and all things we don’t understand. And if you really want to talk about this, join our forum here.

  • The Weight of Lost Love and the Endless Echo of Human Thought

The Weight of Lost Love and the Endless Echo of Human Thought

Love—once lost—lingers like an unfinished melody, a ghostly refrain that plays in the background of our lives.

Sadness has a way of settling into the heart, slow and unyielding, eroding us from the inside out. It makes us question: Are we truly alone in our grief, or is it the very act of feeling that binds us all together?

    The Paradox of Human Connection

Perhaps what humans desire most is not love itself, but the assurance that their emotions are unique—that their pain, their longing, their joy, are stories that belong to them alone.

And yet, in a world overflowing with voices, each person trying to tell their own tale, do we simply find ourselves in a competition of narratives? A silent war where one story must be more profound, more tragic, more significant than the rest? We crave originality, but we are trapped within the predictable patterns of the human experience.

“The belief in one’s own uniqueness is a delicious delusion, easily shattered by a walk through any graveyard.”

Is this what drives us? The need to be seen as complex, as deep, as capable of profound thought like the heroes of our books and TV shows?

Do these stories push us forward, make us reach for greatness, or are they illusions—reflections of what we wish we could be? If stories shape our lives, do we live only to become characters in them?

The Burden of Consciousness: Leadership, Purpose, and the Human Predicament

And what of leadership? Those who lead do not necessarily tell the best stories; they understand the commonality of human nature.

They know how predictable we are, how easily we fall into rhythm, how deeply we hunger for meaning. So, we move forward, always forward—but how far have we really come? How long can we truly last on this planet before the weight of our own consciousness crushes us under its unbearable gravity?

Purpose begs the question. Do we ever make it to Mars? Do we deserve to? Was consciousness a mistake—an evolutionary misstep that granted us too much power, too much imagination? We are beings who can live and die entire lifetimes within our own minds, trapped in dreams we cannot wake from. What, then, are boundaries? What is real when our thoughts are infinite?

“Time, a river, carries us along,
Where love’s wreckage echoes in a song.
The burden grows, a heavy, sweet despair,
Yet still we yearn, to breathe love’s heady air.”

And love? Is it merely a modern construct, a formula written by corporations that profit from our predictability?

Or is it ancient—so old that it stretches beyond memory, beyond recorded history?

If love is eternal, then where are the ancients now? Do their emotions live through us, pulsing in our blood, whispered in our deepest desires?

Perhaps love is both real and unreal, like everything else. A force that defines us, destroys us, rebuilds us—over and over again. And we chase it, just as we chase meaning, just as we chase time. Oh, the unbearable weight of it all.

  • The Modern Spirit of Sri Lanka: A Culture Rooted in Tradition, Evolving with Time

The Modern Spirit of Sri Lanka: A Culture Rooted in Tradition, Evolving with Time

Sri Lanka, an island often celebrated for its ancient heritage and deep-seated traditions, is also a place where modernity thrives in ways both subtle and profound. Beyond its historical temples and time-honored customs, the country pulses with a contemporary energy—an ever-evolving culture that seamlessly blends the old with the new.

At first glance, Sri Lanka may appear deeply traditional, with its vibrant religious festivals, respect for ancestry, and enduring rural lifestyles. But beneath this surface lies a dynamic, modernistic essence. Walk through the streets of Colombo, and you’ll see high-rise buildings standing shoulder to shoulder with colonial-era structures. Young Sri Lankans sip artisanal coffee while engaging in spirited discussions on technology, art, and global politics. Innovation weaves itself into the very fabric of the nation, from eco-friendly agricultural practices to emerging digital start-ups that bridge Sri Lanka with the rest of the world.

What makes Sri Lanka’s modernity unique is its refusal to sever ties with its roots. Unlike some nations where progress often comes at the cost of heritage, Sri Lanka carries both forward—redefining itself without erasing its past. The island’s music scene reflects this beautifully; traditional béra drums echo through the air just as frequently as electronic beats from modern fusion artists. The fashion industry, too, embraces this duality, with designers incorporating traditional batik and handloom textiles into contemporary styles.

Even in the realm of social values, Sri Lanka walks a delicate balance between modern aspirations and cultural grounding. While the younger generation increasingly challenges outdated norms, there is a collective effort to ensure that progress remains inclusive, considerate of the nation’s deeply communal ethos. This is not a country that rushes blindly into the future, but one that carefully selects which aspects of modernity to embrace, ensuring that evolution does not come at the cost of identity.

Sri Lanka’s modern spirit is not about Westernization or abandoning what once was. It is about adaptation, reinvention, and the ability to carry history into the future without letting it become a burden. It is proof that a culture can be both ancient and new, deeply rooted yet open to change. And in this harmony of past and present, Sri Lanka offers a rare and beautiful lesson to the world: that true modernity is not about discarding tradition, but about knowing how to evolve without forgetting where you came from.

  • Arugam Bay: A Surfer’s Paradise with an Unseen Challenge

Arugam Bay: A Surfer’s Paradise with an Unseen Challenge

“The waves rise high, a crest of white foam,
In this rhythm of nature, I’ve found my home
    .”

Arugam Bay, nestled along Sri Lanka’s eastern coastline, is renowned for its world-class waves, stunning sunrises, and welcoming community. The bay itself remains remarkably clean, a testament to the care taken by locals and visitors alike. However, just beyond the immediate coastline, an environmental issue looms—a landfill in nearby Pallakkadu, somewhat 30km away.

The presence of plastic waste in this area poses a growing concern, not just for the surrounding ecosystem but also for the region’s wildlife. Among the most affected are Sri Lanka’s majestic elephants, which often wander into these dumps in search of food. Tragically, many end up consuming plastic waste, leading to severe health issues and, in some cases, fatalities.

Despite awareness of the problem, large-scale cleanup efforts have yet to take shape. Elrequisitium recognizes the urgency of this issue and seeks to bring attention to the need for immediate action. The goal is to initiate sustainable waste management solutions that protect both the environment and the wildlife that call this region home.

Arugam Bay is more than just a surfing destination; it’s part of a delicate ecosystem that deserves preservation. While the beach remains pristine, the hidden impact of plastic waste just beyond its borders is a challenge that cannot be ignored. Addressing this issue will require cooperation, awareness, and a commitment to sustainable change.

A cleaner, safer environment for both people and wildlife is possible. The question remains: how soon will we act?

  • Mindlessness

    Mindlessness

    Mindlessness

    The Growing Reality of Mindlessness

In today’s fast-paced world, the disconnect between the mind and body has become an alarming reality. Mindlessness—living without consciousness or purpose—has turned into a widespread phenomenon, leaving many leading fruitless and unfulfilled lives.

    Reasons Behind Mindlessness

    1. Monotony of Daily Life: Repetition and routine can dull the senses, robbing life of its vibrancy and leading to a loss of awareness.
    2. Mass Media Distraction: The endless scroll of social media and other distractions pulls people away from themselves, fostering dependency on external validation.
    3. Lack of Authenticity: Blindly following societal norms or trends suppresses individuality, pushing people further from their true selves.
    4. Misplaced Priorities: Focusing on fleeting wants instead of genuine needs creates a shallow sense of fulfillment.
    5. Constant Distractions: A world that glorifies multitasking leaves little room for mindfulness, creating a chaotic mental state.
    6. Fear of Change: Change is uncomfortable and often requires facing loss, which many avoid by clinging to mindlessness.
    7. Challenges and Health Issues: Life’s difficulties, including personal struggles and health problems like anemia, can lead to disconnection and resignation.

People often retreat into mindlessness to avoid pain, but in doing so, they sacrifice growth, authenticity, and meaning.

    Consequences of Mindlessness

Living in a state of mindlessness carries significant consequences:

    • Lack of Gratitude: A disconnection from the present fosters entitlement and ingratitude.
    • Meaninglessness: Life feels hollow, devoid of purpose or genuine interest.
    • Emotional Numbness: Numbness becomes a coping mechanism, blunting both joy and pain.

When do we wake up? When do we stop passively believing and start actively creating?

Owning the discomfort of being alive in a world designed to numb us can be terrifying—but perhaps that fear is the first step toward something real. Growth begins when we face life’s challenges head-on, embracing change, and rediscovering our genuine selves.

The journey to mindfulness may be difficult, but it is the path that leads to a life of purpose, connection, and true fulfillment.

    • Promethea: The Mischief of Foresight and the Fire of Progress

Promethea: The Mischief of Foresight and the Fire of Progress

Promethea, like her mythological counterpart Prometheus, represents the audacity to rebel against limits and illuminate paths forward. Prometheus stole fire from the heavens, gifting humanity the light of knowledge and the power to create. For this act of foresight, he suffered divine wrath, bound to a rock as punishment for defying Zeus. Promethea carries this legacy, embodying both the mischievous spark of creativity and the enduring struggle for enlightenment in the face of adversity.

Prometheus’ gift was more than fire—it was the ignition of human progress. He taught humanity to observe the stars, harness memory, and craft tools, ships, and language. Yet, his rebellion wasn’t without consequence. Zeus, angered by his defiance, created Pandora—a cunning gift who unleashed suffering upon the world. Through these stories, we see the interplay of knowledge and consequence, curiosity and chaos, innovation and resistance.

Promethea is not merely a feminine counterpart to Prometheus but a reminder that struggle is the seed of progress. Mischief, when born of foresight and curiosity, disrupts stagnation and propels humanity forward. Yet, the path of rebellion is fraught with challenges: heartbreak, loneliness, and rejection. These trials mirror Prometheus’ crucifixion for daring to defy the gods—a war between knowledge and superstition, genius and dogma.

To be Promethea is to embrace this paradox. It’s about playful yet profound engagement with life—turning heartbreak into art, challenges into triumphs, and mischief into meaningful creation. It’s not about indulgent distractions but the joy of intellectual curiosity, the courage to dream wildly, and the relentless pursuit of growth. Promethea reminds us that even in suffering, there is beauty in striving, in never yielding to complacency, and in daring to light a fire that others might fear.

Our Promethea Collection celebrates this indomitable spirit—a tribute to the rebels, creators, and dreamers. Each piece serves as a beacon, reminding you to stay curious, keep growing, and bring light into even the darkest corners.

      Ignite your fire with Promethea.

    • The Silent Struggle: When Work-Life Balance Is a Luxury

The Silent Struggle: When Work-Life Balance Is a Luxury

We often hear about the importance of work-life balance, a mantra repeated by life coaches, influencers, and well-meaning friends. It’s painted as the golden key to happiness—a perfect equilibrium where work and personal life coexist in harmony. But for many, this concept is nothing more than a distant dream, a luxury they simply cannot afford.

Meet Sarah, a single mother of two. Every day, she wakes up before the sun, her body aching from the few hours of sleep she managed to steal the night before. She works two jobs, neither of which offers benefits, let alone a livable wage. Her mornings are a whirlwind of packing lunches, getting the kids ready for school, and rushing out the door to catch the first bus that will take her to her cleaning job. There’s no time for breakfast; she needs those extra ten minutes to make sure her children have something to eat.

Sarah’s workday is long and grueling. She scrubs floors, cleans bathrooms, and empties trash cans in office buildings where she sees others living the life she dreams of—people who talk about their weekend getaways, yoga classes, and the latest self-help book on work-life balance. When the cleaning shift ends, she heads to her second job as a cashier at a grocery store. The hours stretch on, and by the time she gets home, it’s well past dinner time. She’s exhausted, her feet hurt, and her back feels like it might break, but she can’t rest yet. There are homework assignments to help with, laundry to fold, and bills to figure out how to pay.

For Sarah, the concept of work-life balance feels like a cruel joke. How can she balance anything when she’s constantly on the edge of breaking? The reality is that she doesn’t have the luxury of balance. Every waking moment is dedicated to survival, to keeping a roof over her children’s heads and food on the table. Her personal life—the part where she’s supposed to rest, recharge, and find joy—has been sacrificed at the altar of necessity.

And yet, Sarah keeps going. She keeps going because she has no other choice. Quitting isn’t an option when you’re the only one holding everything together. But the toll it takes is immense. The fatigue becomes chronic, the stress unrelenting. The rare moments of joy—her children’s laughter, a hug at the end of a long day—are fleeting and often overshadowed by the weight of everything she must carry.

There are millions of people like Sarah. People who work tirelessly, who sacrifice their health and happiness because the world demands it of them. They are the invisible ones, the ones who aren’t featured in wellness magazines or celebrated in corporate seminars. They don’t have the time or the means to pursue balance because they’re too busy just trying to survive.

So the next time we talk about work-life balance, let’s remember that for many, it’s not a matter of making better choices or prioritizing differently. It’s a matter of survival. Let’s not forget the Sarahs of the world who carry an unimaginable burden every day. Instead of offering advice on balance, maybe we should be asking how we can lighten their load, how we can create a world where no one has to choose between survival and happiness.

Because in the end, balance shouldn’t be a luxury—it should be a right.

And until it is, let’s show compassion and understanding to those who are doing everything they can just to make it through another day.

    • Money Vs Currency

      Money Vs Currency

True wealth is your time and your freedom

True wealth lies not in the world’s glittering gleam

Nor does it lie in the riches that shimmer like a dream

Time, A treasure more valuable than silver’s caress.

And freedom, oh freedom, is the golden key,

Unlocking the riches of being truly free.

      So, cherish your time,

let it flow like a stream,

      And treasure your freedom,

      like the sun’s golden beam.

For in these, true wealth resides,

      In the heart’s contentment,

       where happiness abides.”

      What is currency?

      1. It is a medium of exchange
      2. A unit of account
      3. Portable
      4. Durable
      5. Divisible
      6. Fungible

      What is money?

      1. It is a medium of exchange
      2. A unit of account
      3. Portable
      4. Durable
      5. Divisible
      6. Fungible
      7. Store of value

Eg: -Gold, Silver, precious metals, even oil but only it is not that portable

      What is the difference?

Well, here’s a story for you to enjoy and understand this concept…

Once upon a time, in a bustling kingdom,

There was a grand treasury guarded by diligent officials. Inside, the kingdom’s currency, let us call it “greenbacks” was meticulously minted and stored. The greenbacks were cherished by everyone in the kingdom because they could buy anything from a loaf of bread to a magnificent steed.

However, trouble brewed when the kingdom’s rulers discovered they could print more of these greenbacks whenever they pleased.

At first, this seemed like a boon—more greenbacks meant more prosperity, or so they thought. The treasury started overflowing with shiny new greenbacks, and the rulers began spending them lavishly on grand feasts and towering monuments. But as the rulers printed more and more greenbacks, something strange began to happen. The once valuable greenbacks started losing their worth. What could once buy a hearty feast now barely bought a loaf of bread.

The people in the kingdom were puzzled and frustrated. Their hard-earned savings seemed to disappear into thin air, leaving them with less and less to show for their efforts.

Meanwhile, amidst the chaos, there was another form of wealth quietly holding its ground. It was known simply as “bullion coins”, in simple terms it refers to gold coins.

Unlike the paper money, bullion coins couldn’t be printed at will by the rulers. It held its value steadfastly, unaffected by the whims of those in power. People who held bullion coins found that it retained its purchasing power over time. A loaf of bread cost the same today as it did yesterday, and the day before that.

As the kingdom’s economy struggled with inflation caused by the flood of greenbacks, those who had stored their wealth in bullion coins found themselves in a more stable position. Their savings didn’t evaporate; they could still afford their daily needs without worry.

In the end, the tale of the kingdom taught a valuable lesson: while governments could print currencies like greenbacks and dilute their value, they couldn’t replicate the reliability and stability of bullion coins.

Bullion coins, with its steadfast purchasing power, stood as a beacon of security amidst the unpredictable tides of economic change. And so, the people of the kingdom learned to value not just wealth, but the type of wealth that endures—

A lesson they passed down through generations, ensuring their prosperity for years to come.

      Governmental influence in currencies

Ah! The governments have a sneaky trick up their sleeves—they can keep printing more currencies and dilute its supply, like it’s going out of style! It’s like a never-ending magic trick where they make your hard-earned cash disappear into thin air.

But hold on! When it comes to gold and silver, they’re like the celebrities of money—they can’t be mass-produced! Their supply is limited, so they hold onto their value tighter than a cat with a mouse. No printing presses for these precious metals—just good old-fashioned scarcity keeping them in the money game!

From the graphs above it clarifies that money has a fixed purchasing power whereas as currencies cannot maintain a fixed purchasing power…

      What are fiat Currencies?

Fiat currencies are like the rock stars of money—they get all the attention but they’re not backed by anything tangible like gold or silver. Instead, their value comes from the trust and confidence people have in the government that issues them. It’s like saying, “Hey, this paper or digital money is valuable because we all agree it is!” So, fiat currencies are essentially money by decree, backed by the authority of the issuing government rather than by a physical commodity.

    • Stoicism

      Stoicism

Since the popularity of self help genre has skyrocketed in the recent years, stoicism has garnered a lot of attention, but long before this newfound fame stoicism has always prevailed as a characteristic, you may have seen a protagonist described as a stoic in books and movies, what makes a person stoic?, what are the principles of stoicism which gives this unique identity to the person who follows them?

Stoicism was founded in the ancient Greece by Zeno. The key principle in stoicism is rationality, rationality in stoicism is about living a thoughtful life with intent in every action and decision guided by reason, leading to personal and moral excellence. As all other Greek philosophies during the time, being virtuous was pursued by every practitioner. virtue in stoicism is about embodying wisdom, courage, justice, and temperance.

The philosophy teaches its pupils to align their lives with nature, accept the present moment, and focus on what they can control, while remaining indifferent to external events and emotions.

But the stoicism that we imagine today might look rather contrasting, though the school of thought originated in ancient Greece, it was adopted and popularized by the Romans whose scripts are still published to rival even the best authors of current day. Letters from a stoic by Seneca and meditations by Marcus Aurelius have garnered a cult like following in the recent years, with quotes from these texts circulating in every corner of the Internet. But in order to truly understand stoicism, reading these texts and bringing them into practice might be insufficient, firstly you would have to analyze it as a non practitioner, and understand what modern problems can be fixed (if any) by a school of thought from 2 millennia ago

    • Chasing Dreams: Finding Your Path in the Chaos of Life

Chasing Dreams: Finding Your Path in the Chaos of Life

A dream is an idea that, whether we want to or not, has the power to show us the world that we can never imagine in real life, but now we often have to rely on sleep to dream.

Where has gone our childhood dreams that we had for ourselves? Now where are those dreams disappeared to? Why can’t we move forward in our lives? Make better decisions, achieve greatness? Who has taken this power away from us?

Is it a big-time scammer who has the power to control our minds?  And when we do have dreams, does it make them afraid?  How strange! How to get out of it? Can we get out of it?  Or do we hide ourselves in a cave instead?

How do we even fight for the freedom of our dreams? Who are we fighting against? Sometimes we can’t even perceive these enemies.  These are all questions, for which I too am struggling to find answers for.

Questions without clear solutions. Any attempt to give seemingly clear solutions might make you powerful, but the question still remains. Perhaps taking some time to actively understand can make a difference. We’ve got to be present in our minds and make the right choices.

It’s difficult, but what is life where we can’t fight for ourselves? It might already be too late to take the first step. The difficulties that will come will be seen.  Now don’t sit in fear.  Now it’s our turn to go out there and change the tide.

I hope this marks the start of a series where I can guide myself and others through today’s chaotic landscape.

    • Pollution Vs Design

      Pollution Vs Design

It’s like throwing a party for toxins in our environment, except no one invited them and they’re wreaking havoc on our planet. Pollution is the ultimate party crasher, turning our beautiful earth into a toxic wasteland. Let’s kick these contaminants to the curb and clean up our act before it’s too late!

Picture this: pollution is like a sneaky villain, lurking in the shadows and wreaking havoc on everything in its path. From the air we breathe to the water we drink, it’s like a domino effect of destruction that not only impacts our health and environment but also sends shockwaves through our social and economic systems. It’s time to band together and fight back against this silent threat before it’s game over for us all.

Whereas design causes orderliness to combat the effects of pollution, design is necessary for a sustainable environment. Imagine design as the superhero swooping in to save the day! It’s like the shield protecting our environment from the harmful emissions and effluents that threaten to pollute our air, water, and soil. Without this superhero, our world would be overrun by the waste products of human activities, turning our beautiful planet into a wasteland. It’s time to unleash the power of design and ensure a cleaner, greener future for generations to come.

Single use plastic imposes a serious threat to our marine life, and how exactly, well take sea turtles for instance, these animals consume plastic bags mistaking it for a jelly fish, even land animals are now forced to live among plastic pollution.

The average American population generates about 300 pounds of plastic per year and roughly only about 9% is recycled…

Now, why all this talk? Here’s the point we want you to consider: Why was plastic introduced in the first place? It was meant to improve our lives. But has it truly made our lives better or worse?

As plastic pollution continues to threaten our planet, innovative Eco-friendly alternatives have emerged. These include biodegradable materials like bamboo, cork, TIPA bio plastic polymers, mycelium, hemp, jute, and many more sustainable options.

    • The Jungle of Life

      The Jungle of Life

I couldn’t sleep again because of immense back pain combined with arthritis in a few key joints. Resorted to taking ibuprofen syrup. I’ve had ulcers before, one of the many side effects of ibuprofen. Finally, I grabbed my phone to jot this out.

      https://nonakedwalls.co.uk/artwork/the-magic-of-spring-hampshire-bluebells-art/

While in bed, wide awake in pain, I had this thought going in my head… Trees!

How vulnerable are they when they first sprout? The smallest things can kill them. Animals ruthlessly step on them. Birds peck their leaves off. Insects eat them alive. Yet! They take root. They weather the storm, breathe the Oxygen & CO2, and grow back even stronger.

      https://www.saatchiart.com/art/Painting-Dappled-Light/1541225/9501691/view

Their leaves become bitter to their predators. Some even put out thorns, others later shed their thorns as they become taller and stronger, providing shade and shelter to those that once threatened their very existence.

These resilient and wise beings, then develop the ability to give a head start to others. Not just ones of their own kind, but those that might appear far different. Almost foreign.

The lessons that these trees learn during their long painful journeys of perseverance, help the newcomers avoid dangers and red flags. The new members of this diverse jungle family might get a signal from the wise elderly trees to put out their thorns early. Or to make themselves bitter to the taste early on.

      https://rtcsalesvs.live/product_details/40877302.html

However, many trees can’t survive on their own. Some of them could be carrying generational damage. Others, by design, are sweet and vulnerable. These weaklings are only able to grow amongst the thorny bitter canopy until they can put out fruit for the right animals, birds & insects.

The Jungle has a beautiful collective wisdom. The weaklings attract insects, birds and animals that have diverse appetites. Appetites that include not only the weaklings’ fruits as a first course, but weeds & harmful insects that if left unchecked, can corrupt their entire canopy.

Certain trees are plain weird to the sight. Even in their first few years, they try to rise far above the rest of the canopy. These tall yet super flexible freaks of nature, sticking their heads out, live at a level higher and different than the others. They don’t even breathe the same air. Their height allows them to breathe in Nitrogen. Vital to the long term well-being of the rather down to earth members of their tribe. Malnutrition is no joke.

Everyone in the great diversity of the jungle, has their own place. They might appear completely unrelated to each other, but they’re all connected. No one is useless. Everyone has a purpose. Even if we might not have discovered it yet.

The weaklings with their short roots can’t weather the violent storms, so the down to earth shrubby trees help them by softening the blows. The mighty wise trees with deep widespread strong roots, form the backbone of the underground communications system. Carrying important messages to canopies that’d otherwise be left dumb, deaf & blind.

      https://www.reddit.com/r/painting/comments/17trlka/just_want_to_share_with_all_of_you_one_of_my/

What great lessons we have to learn in Trees!

    • Pain replaced with more pain!

      Pain replaced with more pain!

My regular pain seems to have gone away. However it left me with this back pain. Its been intense. Almost about to faint.

It hurts when I turn in bed. That tells a lot. I’m trying to dissect it through… Hurts more when I bend forwards rather than backwards.

Is this related to RA pain, I wonder? Or is it because I’m losing visceral fat on the inside, causing my bones to rearrange?

May 14 2024 I woke up at 0300 with debilitating pain in my hips and lower back. It was so hard getting out of bed. I had to contort my body in weird ways just to stand.

I think the pain caused indigestion, that’s something that hasn’t happened much since I got on the keto diet for the most part.

The next 3 to 4 hours were just horrible. Then I tried messaging the area around the affected bones with oil. Idk if it helped at the time.

I’ve been trying to figure out the cause for this new pain. I started getting a bit of pain months ago but I didn’t make much of it. Not the kind to fuss about “minor issues”. 😌

Even until a few weeks ago as it got far worse, I just chalked it up to arthritis inflammation, scary and strange as it was for my arthritis to supposedly have hit my lower back now, I just thought it was a logical next step in the progression of my disease.

But as the weeks passed and the pain didn’t go away, in fact it only became sharper and I noticed it was different in nature than the usual pain attacks I get, it slowly came to the realization that it’s something else.

      Areas of pain

I asked friends, started reading about it online, tried different exercises, it only aggravated it further. Until I connected the dots. Is it from sitting with bad posture for hours on end working on the computer? I know it’s been putting a lot of pressure on my lower back and hips.

      crab position

So after yet another horrific morning, I tried to do some exercise. I’d squat down then do a crab and push my hip upwards. Trying to figure out the counter move to reserve the bones into position in case they’ve “slipped”. Another thing I did differently was that I put a cushion between my knees and went to sleep in a more relaxed pose for my back.

I woke up 3 hours later with reduced pain and it receded to my right hip, I was able to get out of bed much better.

Here’s the links to the videos that helped me the most!
